Kendriya Vidyalaya Sector -2, R.K. Puram has the distinction of being one of the oldest and pacesetters Kendriya Vidyalayas in Delhi. Ever since its inception in June, 1964 the Vidyalaya has made tremendous progress in all directions. It has been selected as a Model School under the Model School Scheme of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and is geared now to offer education through the latest techniques of computer and internet, while trying to achieve the National Goal of Education to students keeping in touch with the needs of swift changing and competitive world being with demands and expectations of society.
We aim at excellence
The Vidyalaya mainly aims at providing uninterrupted education with uniform and common syllabi, curriculum and medium of instruction as envisaged in the KVS guidelines.

Academics
This Vidyalaya is known for producing excellent results. The commitment and hardwork of both the students and dedicated and talented staff leads to good results. Many meritorious students who pass out from class XII bag seats in various professional colleges. Stress is laid on activity based learning. Remedial measures and extra coaching is routinely carried out leading to high academic achievements.
Pre-Primary Education
The Vidyalaya is one of the first three Kendriya Vidyalayas in Delhi which started Pre-Primary education two years ago on an experimental basis.
